Test another HDMI cable and port, power-cycle the set, and check whether the problem exists on the built-in apps as well as on the set-top box.
Most “broken TV” reports in living rooms are HDMI handshake, HDR confusion, or a streaming stick that needs a reboot. Opening an LG chassis should be last.
Picture vs input
If Netflix looks fine but the cable box is snowy, the TV panel is not the suspect. If every input is dim or pink, that is a panel/backlight conversation — see TV not turning on when the set is fully dark.
